After Katrina made landfall in August 29, 2005
all of us were shocked to see the devastation
caused by this natural disaster to our Gulf
Coast citizens and their pets. The days that
followed Americans across the nation where
horrified by the pain and suffering the citizens
of this area endured. As the days lingered on
and the relief effort started for our neighbors it
became apparent our funds for relief efforts
family pets fell short. Many shelters, dog clubs
and private citizens gave their all but many
dogs and cats went without food.
A few caring breeders and owners of dogs and
cats wanted to insure that this would never
happen again. Hence,
